We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Master Electrician to join our solar panel installation team.

$30-$40/HR DOE

PLUS+

The Master Electrician is responsible for assisting with the installation, ongoing maintenance and service of solar energy systems. In addition, the Master Electrician will provide guidance and oversee other Electricians on the job site.

Essential Duties:

  • Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of our solar energy systems
  • Complete knowledge of electrical systems, components, and codes
  • Determine the steps necessary to assess an electrical situation using testing devices, interpreting design plans and drawing rough sketches when required
  • Be professional in communications with the customer and clearly communicate updates to the customer and teammates
  • Appetite for continuous learning and regularly attends educational courses
  • Updating project records and preparing relevant documents and reports
  • Lead field staff to deliver excellent solar systems according to project specifications and codes
  • Test and repair electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot problems and resolve known issues in a timely manner
  • Maintain and comply with all safety standards and regulations – includes ensuring all safeguards of equipment are installed as needed to conform to government regulations
  • Ability to work overtime when required, and in various weather conditions
  • Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills

Qualifications:

  • Required – minimum of 3-5 years as an Electrician; Solar experience is a Plus
  • Holds or can obtain a Master Electrician License
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable source of transportation
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical codes and electrical best practices
  • Complete quality work in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure equipment is properly working for installations and service repairs
  • Complete admin and documentation related to installations
  • Work under company safety policies and maintain OSHA safe facilities
  • Ensure the highest quality of workmanship and compliance with all current codes
  • Must be team oriented and work with a positive attitude
  • Able to mentor other electricians and staff on electrical best practices
  • Must be willing to travel occasionally to job sites in various states
