The Blue Collar Recruiter was created to serve the people who build, fix, power, and protect our communities. Our purpose goes far beyond recruiting- we exist to strengthen the entire blue-collar ecosystem by connecting opportunity, education, leadership, and meaningful work.
At our core, we help blue-collar businesses find and retain high-value talent. But our impact doesn’t stop there. Through recruiting, training, leadership development, and workforce solutions, we support every stage of a blue-collar career- from entry-level training to management and ownership.
We work alongside business owners, tradespeople, veterans, and career changers to solve one of the biggest challenges facing the trades today: building strong, reliable teams in a shrinking labor market. Our growing national network, specialized recruiting teams, Virtual Trade School, hands-on Blue Collar Trades Academy, and leadership development programs are all designed with one goal in mind- long-term success for Blue Collar professionals and the businesses they support.

Our history
The Blue Collar Recruiter and Blue Collar Virtual Trade School were founded in 2020 in Austin, Texas by Troy Latuff with a clear realization: both employers and job seekers in the Blue Collar space were being dramatically underserved. Traditional hiring methods weren’t working, and access to affordable, practical training was limited. We set out to change that.
What began as a recruiting solution quickly evolved into a more complete workforce platform. By combining proactive talent discovery, structured recruiting processes, and effective placement strategies, we built a system designed specifically for Blue Collar industries. As demand grew, online, remote virtual training naturally became part of our offering- supporting both employer teams and individuals looking to enter or advance within the trades.
Today, we specialize in recruiting, training, and consulting for residential, commercial, and industrial employers nationwide. Our experienced team of skilled trades recruiters works virtually across the U.S., helping businesses save time, reduce hiring risk, and secure the highly qualified tradespeople they need to grow.
Our Virtual Trade School continues to expand across underserved trade verticals, including Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Solar, Facilities Maintenance, and Safety. Built around real employer needs, our programs consistently deliver strong outcomes- helping students gain in-demand skills and move quickly into meaningful employment.

Company founder Troy Latuff is a proven leader in the skilled trades, with more than 20 years of experience in the home services and franchising industries. His career has been built on firsthand experience—owning, operating, and scaling residential service businesses where hiring qualified people was a constant challenge.
