Position Overview:

As a Lawn Equipment Mechanic, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring that our customers receive top-notch service and maintenance for their small machinery, with a particular emphasis on commercial equipment. From troubleshooting specialty issues to providing expert guidance at the front counter, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional customer experience. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with our friendly and knowledgeable staff, contributing to the overall success and growth of our company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform service and maintenance on various types of small machinery, specializing in commercial equipment.
• Assist fellow employees with daily tasks in the shop and beyond.
• Handle opening and closing duties as required.
• Provide front counter assistance to customers in a professional and courteous manner.
• Address specialty issues that may arise, fostering positive relationships with customers, management, and colleagues.
• Engage in both inside and outside sales efforts to promote our products and services.
• Support management and ownership in daily tasks and contribute ideas for company growth initiatives.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and ensure prompt arrival to work.
• Demonstrate a willingness to go above and beyond to achieve goals and complete tasks efficiently.
• Uphold a team-player attitude, assisting colleagues to meet company objectives.
• Participate in training and leading fellow employees as needed.

Requirements:

• Preferably possess OEM Certification with Briggs Kohler, Kawasaki, Exmark, Scag Stih.
• Previous experience in small machinery repair and maintenance is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work a minimum 40-hour work week with occasional overtime as needed.
