Position Overview:

As a Commercial Kitchen Service Technician, you will be at the forefront of maintaining and optimizing restaurant and commercial kitchen equipment. Your role will involve diagnosing, repairing, and providing preventative maintenance to ensure seamless operation, minimize downtime, and enhance customer satisfaction. Collaborating closely with food industry professionals, you’ll deliver exemplary service and support.

 

Key Responsibilities:

– Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a diverse range of commercial kitchen appliances, such as ovens, ranges, fryers, refrigerators, and dishwashers.

– Conduct routine preventative maintenance to uphold equipment performance and longevity.

– Install new kitchen equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.

– Effectively communicate with restaurant staff and management to address needs promptly.

– Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and service calls using designated systems.

– Manage truck stock levels, ensuring necessary supplies are on hand for repairs and installations.

– Keep service truck orderly, well-equipped, and clean for efficient operations.

– Provide exceptional customer service, nurturing strong client relationships and bolstering company reputation.

– Attend company training sessions to stay informed about industry trends and best practices in commercial kitchen maintenance.

 

Requirements:

– High school diploma or GED required; completion of technical school or apprenticeship in appliance repair preferred.

– CEFSA Certifications highly valued.

– Minimum 2 years of experience in repairing and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment, with a preference for 5 years of experience.

– EPA certification necessary for technicians handling refrigerants.

– Proficient in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

– Ability to comprehend and apply technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

– Competence in utilizing various hand and power tools.

– Excellent communication and customer service aptitude.

– Strong organizational and time-management skills.

– Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

– Physical capability to lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.

– Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
