The Estimator’s core responsibilities and duties encompass, but are not limited to, the following:
Thoroughly review bid packages
Attend pre-bid meetings as necessary
Conduct on-site visits
Perform meticulous material takeoffs
Assess labor requirements
Scrutinize projects, finalize the scope of work to be undertaken, and prepare precise estimates
Collaborate with insurance representatives, property managers, customers, and other stakeholders to review estimates and project scope
Demonstrate the ability to negotiate and secure reconstruction projects
Maintain accurate records of all estimates and proposals
Collaborate closely with project managers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and that any quality issues are swiftly resolved
Ensure adherence to proper payment protocols, from initial arrangements to final payments
Candidates need the following background:
Profound knowledge of building and construction, encompassing materials, equipment, and methodologies necessary for successful project completion
Familiarity with water, fire, smoke, mold, and biohazard cleanup projects
Prior restoration experience (3-5 years)
Essential proficiency in Xactimate Software
Exceptional communication skills
