Responsibilities:
- Position, align, fit, and weld parts to complete units or subunits, following blueprint and layout specifications
- Drill, countersink, ream, and tap
- Tack-weld fitted parts together
- Weld in all positions
- Position or tighten braces, jacks, clamps, ropes, or bolt straps
- Use basic measuring tools, jigs, welding torches, and hand tools
- Use cranes, hoists, and lifts according to safety standards and industry requirements
Experience:
- Must have 3+ years’ experience metal contract manufacturing environment (preferably US Government Prime Contractors)
- Proficient in Pulse or Pulse/Aluminum MIG 4043 or 5356 filler
- Rivent, Keencert, and Helicoil installation experience
- Proficient with a torch, track-torch, and plasma cutter
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to understand and work from blueprints, schematic drawings, & hand sketches
- Possess the ability to construct, install, dismantle, relocate, modify and/or repair OEM equipment of all types
Requirements:
- Current Welder DL-17-1 Certification
